Chelsea are reportedly keen on resigning their former winger Willian and the Brazilian could be on the verge of returning to Stamford Bridge after a unsuccessful campaign at Arsenal.
SkySports understands that the Brazilian is seriously considering his option after scoring one goal in thirty-seven appearances for the Gunners. Willian joined the North London club after his contract expired at Chelsea.
The club recently announced that David Luiz will depart the Emirates after his contract expires next month giving way for William Saliba is returning from his loan-spell from Nice and is expected to fight for a first team place. They also revealed that Willian is another player who will be allowed to leave despite having two years left on his contract.
The former Shakhtar winger failed to work on his deal at Chelsea that prompted him to switch sides. However, after Arsenal’s failure to qualify for the Champions League, it is understood that the Brazilian will be looking to return to his former club after a disappointing season with the Gunners.
Arsenal are expected for a complete overhaul of the squad with the number of players expected to either return from their loan spells or depart the club. As it stands, Dani Ceballos and Martin Odegaard are expected to return to Real Madrid after their loan deal expires.
It is also understood that the MLS side Inter Miami are working hard to sign Willian, but the Brazilian has his heart set on a return to the London Club.
