Jack Wilshere has confirmed he is interested in returning to Arsenal. The former England midfielder is a free agent after failing to find a club in the summer.
Mikel Arteta opened the doors for a possible Jack Wilshere return last month. The free agent is now considering moving back to the Emirates – 3 years after leaving the club.
While speaking with Sky Sports, Wilshere confirmed he was happy to hear the Arsenal manager open the doors for a possible comeback. The 29-year-old added he would be holding talks with the Gunners in the coming days to get things sorted.
“I think that it can only help me and you said being around good players training with world-class players and as well just being in a team environment, is something that I’m interested in. And I’m sure that I’ll have a conversation with someone at the club in the next couple of days.”
Arsenal are looking for experienced players to be in their squad as they continue their rebuild. A move for Jack Wilshere would be ideal for Mikel Arteta and co as they need a player like him, but he would need to stay injury-free – something that has been an issue in his Premier League career.
This summer, Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United, while Romelu Lukaku returned to Chelsea. Is it time for another significant return with Jack Wilshere heading back to Arsenal?
