If reports from Sport are considered true, Barcelona have recognized Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman as a potential alternative should they fail to acquire top transfer targets – Neymar and Lautaro Martinez.
With a massive overhaul of the squad on the cards for the Spanish champions, there are large expectations over marquee additions at Camp Nou for big money.
One rumour circling around all of Europe is Neymar’s mooted return to the club where he established himself as one of the world’s best forwards. Not to mention, Lautaro Martinez’s whirlwind form at Inter under Antonio Conte has caught the attention of various European spenders.
On the other side of the equation, Bayern may let go of Coman, who himself did not rule out an exit in the future. Speaking to Eurosport, he admitted:
“I don’t know what I want in five years so anything is possible. To stay at the top level and to win the most titles. Bayern is one of the clubs where you can do that.”
The Bavarians may sell Coman in order to boost funds for the likely inclusion of Leroy Sane.
With Coman to be used as a second option by both Barcelona and Bayern Munich in their respective transfer routes, it’ll be interesting to see how the complexities of the aforementioned targets affects his future.
