Barcelona are looking to bolster their strikeforce ahead of the new season and are reportedly keen on signing either Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund or Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.
According to Sport, Haaland is now the number one target for the Catalans, while Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez remains a second option should they fail to sign the Norwegian international. The report also said Barcelona would find it hard to lure Harry Kane to Camp Nou.
Erling Haaland and Harry Kane are expected to leave their respective clubs at the end of the season and Barcelona are monitoring their situation. The Spurs striker is keen to leave to pursue his desire to win trophies and the Spanish giants see the English captain as an ideal forward to partner Lionel Messi.
Haaland, meanwhile, is valued at 130 million euros, which could prove to be a sticking point in any potential deal. Barcelona are also expected to face stiff competition for his signature.
Apart from Harry Kane and Erling Haaland, the Catalans are closing in on deals for Sergio Aguero and Memphis Depay. They were also previously linked to Neymar, but those plans were scuppered after the Brazilian signed a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain. Manchester City’s Eric Garcia is also on the verge of returning to Camp Nou.
