Borussia Dortmund have reportedly identified Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi as a potential target as they look to add more firepower to their attack and increase their squad depth.
According to Eurosport, it is understood that the Blues are willing to let go of the 20-year-old winger and could be on his way to the Signal Iduna Park for first-team action.
The 20-year-old Englishmen has been limited to ten starts this season and has been sparingly used by ex-boss Frank Lampard and current boss Thomas Tuchel. The German coach seemed to take interest in Hudson-Odoi. It is expected that the Blues are ready to let the player depart on loan should his wages be covered up by his next club.
Hudson-Odoi has failed to live up to the expectations prompting Chelsea to let the player go. BVB is expected to bid for CHO as a potential attacking replacement for Jadon Sancho, who will be allowed to leave the club this summer with Man United in the driving seat to sign him.
Interestingly, the Bundesliga club has also fancied in signing Leeds United’s Rapinha as an alternative. The Brazilian winger has been superb for the Whites and has contributed six goals and nine assists in the Premier League. BVB has also identified Lillie’s Jonathan Ikone who played a crucial role as the French club eclipsed PSG for the Ligue 1 title.
However, even though BVB are interested in signing the 20 year-old winger, it is expected that CHO is keen on fighting for his place in the squad despite boasting the likes of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.
