They also had a unsuccessful European run as they were knocked out in the semi-finals at the hands of Manchester City.

Spurs failed to win a trophy despite appointing Jose Mourinho. The Special One guided the club to the League Cup final but he was ousted days before the cup final and. Mourinho was replaced by ex-Spurs player Ryan Mason and failed to win the Carabao Cup. However, Levy admitted that sacking Poch was a mistake and would be hoping to resign him as a hope to retain their talisman Harry Kane who has reportedly handed over a transfer request.

Although, Spurs fans are turning on their chairman, yet he still remains a respected figure in the sport and reports have emerged that Poch is ready to leave the Ligue 1 giants for the North London outfit as he feels that he has unfinished busines and his return to the club would be incredibly popular for the supporters.
