Harry Maguire was arrested in Greece following a fight outside of a bar, per reports in Protothema. The incident took place in Mykonos, where the centre-back is currently on vacation.
They claim that the Manchester United captain and his mates got into a fight with another group of English men. Police were called to the scene but the groups started attacking the police as well, as per the report.
Apart from Harry Maguire, two others have also been arrested by the Greece Police. All three were handcuffed by the Greek authorities.
Manchester United release statement on Harry Maguire
Manchester United have released a statement regarding the arrest of their club captain. The Red Devils have reported that they are aware of the incident and are in contract with Maguire.
The Englishman is cooperating with the Greek authorities and the club will not be making any further statements at this time. Their whole statement read:
“The club is aware of an alleged incident involving Harry Maguire in Mykonos last night. Contact has been made with Harry, and he is fully cooperating with the Greek authorities. At this time we will be making no further comment.”
