PSG are reportedly interested in signing Mohamed Salah from Liverpool this summer as the French giants look to add firepower to their already potent frontline.
According to the Mirror, the 28-year-old Egyptian winger is on the verge of leaving the Merseyside club. Salah joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017 and won the Premier League Golden Boot in successive seasons. With Liverpool, Salah has won the UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and the Premier League under Jurgen Klopp.
However, reports suggest Mauricio Pochettino’s side will make a move for Salah if Kylian Mbappe refuses to sign a new contract with the club. The 22-year-old World Cup winner has starred for PSG since joining them in 2017, winning three Ligue 1 titles. He has been linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Consequently, PSG have identified Salah as a potential replacement for Mbappe. Salah scored 22 goals in the Premier League this past season, guiding Liverpool to a third-place finish that secured Champions League qualification.
PSG are not the only side interested in signing Salah, with the Egyptian’s former side Chelsea also emerging as contenders to secure his signature.
