Defending champions Liverpool are expected to make a move Martin Odegaard who is currently playing for Arsenal on loan from Real Madrid.
The Norwegian midfielder has been impressive for the Gunners and has made an impact for them since he joined. His loan spell at the Emirates expires this summer and Mikel Arteta will be hoping to persuade the playmaker to remain at the North London outfit for the following season.
The Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has been a long-time admirer of the Norwegian and this could tempt Odegaard to sign for Liverpool instead of remaining at the Emirates.
According to AS, it is expected that Odegaard could be tempted to leave Arsenal for Liverpool and the Gunners could face stiff competition from Liverpool for securing the signature of the 22-year-old playmaker.
Rumors of Odegaard to Liverpool sparked when Klopp was spotted having a word with the 22-year-old midfielder at the final whistle after The Reds comfortable 3-0 victory against the Gunners.
The 22-year-old playmaker joined Los Blancos from Stromsgodset in 2015 for a fee of €3 million and was announced that he would train with the club’s first team as well as the reserves, Real Madrid Castilla. He also had loan spells at Heerenveen, Vitesse, and Real Sociedad for a season each before joining the Gunners this campaign.
