Manchester United eye Brazilian defender

Manchester United have targeted Porto’s Alex Telles as the Red Devils are looking to strengthen their options in the left-back position alongside Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams.

The Brazilian left-back previously played for Turkish side Galatasaray. He also played for Inter Milan on a one-year loan before signing for Porto in 2016.

According to Sport Tv (via Metro), United have held talks with the Brazilian’s representatives but no formal bid has been accepted. The Portuguese club is willing to accept a bid of 20 million Euros (18 million Pounds) for Telles whose contract is due to expire at the end of the season.

Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer’s men are under increased pressure following their 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at home which was labeled as a disastrous performance by pundits and critics.

However, the 27-year-old defender insisted that he is not distracted by the rumors and is keen on continuing his momentum by stating “I am focused on the club, I am here, I am playing”.

The Brazilian is adamant that he is only concentrating on performing for his side after a 3-1 victory over Braga where he scored 2 goals and was awarded as the man of the match.
