Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is reportedly a top priority for Manchester United as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to bolster his midfield ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
According to Goal, a deal has been finalized to bring the England midfielder to Old Trafford. Grealish’s agent recently quashed speculation that the Villa skipper was close to moving to Old Trafford after reports suggested he was approached by the Red Devils.
Solskjaer is looking to add more creativity to his midfield as United look to challenge for the title in the upcoming campaign. The Red Devils will hope Grealish can have a similar impact as Bruno Fernandes, whose arrival sparked United to a top-four finish.
The Aston Villa midfielder finally earned his long-awaited call up for the Three Lions squad in the upcoming UEFA Nations League after Marcus Rashford and Harry Winks backed out due to an injury.
Grealish played an integral role in helping Dean Smith’s side avoid relegation, scoring ten goals and providing eight assists in thirty-six appearances.
