Tottenham are set to fine Davinson Sánchez, Cristian Romero, and Giovani Lo Celso on their return from international duty.
As per Matt Law, Tottenham did not permit the trio to travel for international duty. Despite the Premier League clubs’ unanimous decision to ban players from traveling to red list countries, they reportedly traveled.
Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso started for Argentina against Brazil last night, but the game was suspended after a few minutes.
The health authorities invaded the pitch and claimed the two Tottenham players, along with Aston Villa’s Emi Buendia and Emi Martinez, misled them regarding their flights from the UK.
The Brazilian officials demanded the players go into quarantine and leave the country immediately.
Aston Villa permitted their players to go for the match after revealing they would quarantine and miss the Chelsea clash this weekend. Tottenham face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park and the three players are expected to miss the game.
