West Ham eager to sign Manchester United star

West Ham will be hoping to sign Jesse Lingard on a permanent basis from Manchester United after his current loan deal expires at the of the season.

The 28-year old winger had become an outcast for his parent club. After being sidelined to the bench under Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer, the 28-year-old winger has rediscovered his best form since joining the Hammers on loan and has notched up six goals and four assists in eight league outings for the club.

There is optimism at the London stadium that the club can pull off a sensational swoop for the winger, who has been a revelation for the squad since he joined them.

According to the dailymail, it is understood that the Hammers fear that Manchester United will demand a premium price for the forward rather than selling him at a reasonable price.

Lingard is currently enjoying his loan spell at the club and the Hammers are encouraged that he would give serious considerations to staying beyond this season.

He has also been instrumental for the club’s resurgence and have mounted an unexpected top four challenge. His recent displays have also earned an international call up and is in serious contention to be a part of Gareth Southgate’s European Championship squad.
